NourishGrid LLC is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use NourishGrid. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the app. NourishGrid LLC is incorporated in the state of Indiana and operates in accordance with applicable Indiana and federal privacy laws. NourishGrid is committed to transparency about how your data is used and will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, including your name, email address, and password. We collect preference information you provide during onboarding and throughout your use of NourishGrid, including household size, dietary restrictions, disliked ingredients, and cuisine preferences. We collect recipe data you create, import, or save within the app including ingredients and instructions. When you use the photo scan feature we temporarily process your photo solely to extract recipe information. Photos are never stored on our servers and are discarded immediately after processing. We collect meal plan data including the meals you approve, swap, and skip. We collect grocery list data including items, quantities, and which items you mark as purchased. We collect usage data including how you interact with NourishGrid, how frequently you use it, and your weekly usage counts for AI-powered features. This usage data is used solely to manage feature access limits within the app. All payments are handled entirely by Apple through Apple In-App Purchase. NourishGrid LLC does not collect or store any payment information directly.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve NourishGrid and its features. We use your preference data to generate personalized meal plans and recipe suggestions. We use your email address to send account-related communications including important account notifications and subscription updates. We use your information to manage your subscription status. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through Apple In-App Purchase. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
4. AI Features and Data
NourishGrid uses artificial intelligence to generate meal plans, recipes, and grocery lists. When you request AI-generated content, your preferences, dietary restrictions, and relevant saved recipe data are included in the request sent to our AI provider. This data is used solely to generate your requested content and is not used to train AI models. AI generation requests are logged internally by NourishGrid LLC for debugging, quality improvement, and cost monitoring. These logs are accessible only to our team and are never shared with third parties. NourishGrid builds a personalized taste profile for each user based on their saved recipes, approved meals, and stated preferences. This taste profile is stored securely and used solely to improve recipe suggestions and meal plan personalization within NourishGrid. It is never shared with third parties or used for advertising purposes.
5. Information Sharing and Third Parties
NourishGrid LLC does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating NourishGrid, including our cloud infrastructure provider and AI processing provider. NourishGrid uses a third-party cloud infrastructure provider for application hosting and data storage. NourishGrid LLC does not control our infrastructure provider's internal data handling practices. NourishGrid uses Google LLC for user authentication. Information passed through Google Authentication is subject to Google's own privacy practices. All payment information is handled by Apple Inc through Apple In-App Purchase. NourishGrid LLC does not store any payment information directly. NourishGrid LLC is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of Apple, Google, or any other third-party service provider integrated into NourishGrid. We select third-party service providers who we believe maintain appropriate privacy and security standards. However NourishGrid LLC cannot guarantee or control the data practices of third-party providers and encourages you to review their respective privacy policies. NourishGrid LLC does not authorize any third-party service provider to use your personal information for advertising, tracking, or any purpose other than providing their designated services to NourishGrid LLC.
6. Third-Party Service Categories
NourishGrid integrates with the following categories of third-party service providers to deliver its features. Cloud infrastructure and data storage providers host your account data and app content securely. Authentication providers process your sign-in credentials. Payment processors handle subscription billing entirely on our behalf. AI technology providers process your preferences and requests solely to generate personalized meal plans and recipe suggestions. Email delivery providers send account notifications on our behalf. Each of these providers receives only the minimum data necessary to perform their specific function. NourishGrid LLC does not permit any third-party provider to sell your data, use it for advertising purposes, or share it with other parties beyond what is necessary to provide their service. Your data is never used to build advertising profiles or target you with advertisements inside or outside of NourishGrid. 7. Data Retention
NourishGrid LLC retains your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, with the exception of information we are required to retain for legal or regulatory purposes. Accounts that remain inactive for 12 or more months may be permanently deleted with 30 days prior email notice.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal information NourishGrid LLC holds about you. You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete information. You have the right to request deletion of your personal information by deleting your account from the Account Settings screen. You have the right to export your saved recipes at any time from the Account Settings screen. You have the right to opt out of marketing emails by tapping the unsubscribe link in any email we send. 9. Children's Privacy
NourishGrid is not directed to children under the age of 13. NourishGrid LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 please contact us immediately at support@nourishgridllc.com.
10. Security
NourishGrid LLC implements industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security reviews. However no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100 percent secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised please contact us immediately at support@nourishgridllc.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
NourishGrid LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by sending an email to the address associated with your account or by displaying a prominent notice within NourishGrid. Your continued use of the app after we make changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
